What makes Smiling Dog different? I am a sole proprietor, I am your point of contact and I provide the service, I have no subcontractors or employees. I started Smiling Dog in 2009, I have more than 30 years of pet care experience, I am Licensed, and insured. I specialize in OFF-LEASH field trips for a few dogs at a time, and provide excellent pet sitting / house sitting service. My outings are limited to a few dogs that form a small troop. The troop is comprised of different age, size and breeds of dogs. The small troop is a lot of fun, comforting and relaxing to the dogs, provides just the right kind of dog-to-dog interaction for all ages and abilities, and allows for greater flexibility in the areas we can visit. My dog and I know of several fun destinations in our area for the dogs to explore, and we seldom visit the same are more than twice in on week. We spend our time on trails, local off-leash areas, in the local fields, visit beaches and forested areas with clean running water for drinking and cooling off. Our walks are a minimum of 60 minutes, generally longer if the weather is nice. We are on the move, cover 5-9 km (3-5 miles) of trails during each walk and do not linger in one spot for very long. Our speed and distance is determined by the slowest dog in the troop. But, have no worries the younger dogs tend to make good use of their time and most double the distance we walk by running back and forth. Smiles assured. The dogs in my care are spoiled and rarely get treats, because treats are calories that need to be worked off again!! Instead I offer fun, exercise, socialization, lots of praise and positive feedback and personal attention. I love friendly, healthy, and socialized high energy dogs, and have a soft heart for senior dogs. I offer reduced pricing for multiple dog families, and discounts of up to 20% for 3 or more days per week commitment. My pet sitting / house sitting fees are reasonable. Service includes taking care of your animals and or plants and making your home look occupied while you are away. I am experienced in handling replies, rodents, spiders and their prey as well as fish, and have a green thumb. My Just for Cats service assures that your feline receives needed attention and companionship in your absence. I am a very good surrogate for rubbing, kneading and playing. I keep it simple, and provide that top-notch service you are looking for.
